When, after 25+ years of renting on Kezar Lake, we were finally able to build our own place, Littlefield Builders was the consistent recommendation we received from those we asked about potential builders. The working relationship we had with Azel and Brad Littlefield and all the people associated with them was astonishingly straightforward and unproblematic. None of our friends can believe that we were able to construct a new home from start to finish without one single argument with our builder/contractor. Our Kezar Lake home is a log home, ordered as a "kit" from a log home company. However, even with a kit, the logs don't fit together like toy Lincoln Logs. It took superior craftsmanship on the part of the Littlefields to fit the logs and to adapt utilities to the log structure. They actually improved the plans produced by the log home company (e.g., eliminated numerous lolly columns from the walk-out basement). Our guests have commented about the attention paid to the finish work throughout the house. The Littlefields have a tremendous work ethic. Once they started, the crew was there every day until everything was completed. The subcontractors were also superb. They obviously were selected by the Littlefields to reflect their own values, workmanship and work ethic. There is nothing we would change about the house!
